20 Fenchurch Street

An advanced façade inspection at 20 Fenchurch Street, one of London's most recognisable landmarks. A smooth and efficient morning of drone data capture, assessed using our proprietary AI-powered analysis covering more than 20 façade fault categories.

Iconic buildings require cutting-edge inspection technology!

We recently had the privilege of carrying out an advanced façade inspection at 20 Fenchurch Street.

Using commercial drone technology, our team completed a smooth and efficient morning of data capture across one of London's most recognisable landmarks. The imagery gathered was then assessed using our proprietary AI-powered analysis, covering more than 20 façade fault categories.

This innovative approach provides a smarter, faster and safer way to inspect complex buildings-delivering detailed, actionable insights while significantly reducing the need for traditional access methods.

We're proud to support the future of intelligent building management through the combination of specialist expertise, drone technology and artificial intelligence.

Elekta HQ, Sussex

A comprehensive façade inspection of the Elekta headquarters building and associated multi-storey car park in Sussex. High-resolution visual data was captured using commercial drone technology, significantly reducing the need for rope access, scaffolding, BMUs or MEWPs.

Façade AI had the pleasure of supporting CBRE with a comprehensive façade inspection of the Elekta headquarters building and associated multi-storey car park in Sussex.

High-resolution visual data was captured across the site using commercial drone technology, providing detailed coverage of the building façades while significantly reducing the need for traditional access methods such as rope access, scaffolding, BMUs or MEWPs.

The video below shows the data-capture stage of the project before the imagery was processed and analysed through Façade AI's proprietary façade intelligence platform.

Proprietary AI Analysis

Once data capture was completed, the imagery was processed through our proprietary AI technology, purpose-built specifically for façade inspections and trained on more than 30 years of specialist building fault data.

The platform analysed the captured imagery to identify and categorise visible façade faults across the buildings.

Each identified fault was then:

Pinpointed to its exact location on an interactive 3D model

Categorised by fault type

Assigned a severity classification

Supported by high-resolution imagery

Made accessible through the Façade AI online dashboard

This provided CBRE and the end client with a clear, structured and highly visual understanding of the condition of the building envelope.

Rather than relying on individual photographs, written notes or isolated inspection areas, the digital model created a comprehensive record that could be explored building-by-building and elevation-by-elevation.

Actionable Building Intelligence

The completed dataset provides a valuable tool for supporting remedial planning, planned preventative maintenance and future inspection cycles.

Because faults are digitally mapped and recorded, the same building can be inspected again in future years, allowing changes in condition and deterioration to be compared over time.

This is where Façade AI goes beyond traditional inspection methods. Our technology is designed not simply to identify faults, but to build an understanding of the behaviour of the building over successive inspection cycles.

Client Feedback

Following completion of the project, the final data and digital outputs were presented to both CBRE and the end client.

The response was extremely positive, with the client commenting that the quality and detail of the service was far superior to façade inspections they had previously received.

The Elekta HQ project demonstrates how high-resolution drone capture, combined with proprietary façade-specific AI, can provide property teams with a safer, faster and significantly more data-led understanding of their buildings.

JLL · Sunbury

Portfolio-Wide Façade Inspections

Full façade-envelope inspections across 10 large buildings, with all on-site data capture completed over just 2.5 weekends to minimise disruption to the operational site. Façade AI managed the complete inspection process, including CAA permissions, RAMS, flight planning and spotter coordination.

Façade AI had the pleasure of completing another project with Darren Mills and the JLL team at a prestigious site in Sunbury.

The programme involved full façade-envelope inspections across 10 large buildings, with all on-site data capture completed over just 2.5 weekends to minimise disruption to the operational site.

Following the initial consultation, Façade AI managed the complete inspection process, including CAA permissions, RAMS, flight planning and spotter coordination, ensuring the programme was delivered safely and within the client's required turnaround dates.

High-resolution façade data was captured by experienced commercial drone partners before being processed through Façade AI's proprietary inspection technology, built specifically to understand building façades.

The resulting inspection data provided the client with a detailed understanding of façade condition across the portfolio, giving the JLL team the information required to support planned preventative maintenance (PPM), prioritise remedial works and make more informed long-term asset management decisions.

The project demonstrated how large, multi-building estates can be inspected efficiently within a compressed programme while still providing detailed, actionable façade intelligence.

The client was extremely pleased with both the delivery of the programme and the quality of the information provided.
